Summer is here! When the sun starts crawling high into the afternoon sky and the day is getting awfully hot, people often want to drive to their nearest beach or local pool to take a refreshing dip. Many people live in remote areas so driving to a beach is an all day endeavor. Getting to a local pool often means paying a recurring fee or having to make nice with neighbors you’d rather not have to deal with. It might be more convenient just to have your own pool built.

If you’re considering your own pool there are many options. Gunite pools, above ground pools, and inground fiberglass pools are all popular and readily available. Speaking with multiple swimming pool contractors is your best bet when trying to find the pool that is best for your home. They can educate you on the differences between a gunite pool and a fiberglass pool for example. Gunite pools tend to be a bit more difficult of an installation because after having the plumbing installed materials need to be poured over the a metal superstructure. Inground fiberglass pools on the other hand come already preformed in a mold and can simply be laid in their place in the ground.

Pools are available in various different volumes with seemingly limitless accoutrements. Water slides, paired hot tubs, and different water jets are all great options to add that custom touch to your watery getaway. Whatever type of pool you decide to go with to create your perfect paradisaical respite from the sweltering heat, you should be sure to go with well thought of swimming pool builders who will give you a fair price, a reasonable build time, and won’t disrupt your everyday activities in the process.

We used to go to Virginia Beach every weekend. It kept getting dirtier and more crowded. Eventually we had our own pool installed. It saves us the hour drive and the aggravation of crowds.

I love having our pool but nothing beats the combined feel of sand, sun, and ocean waves.
